"OnePlus Nord 3 5G Review: A Flagship-Level Upgrade with Impressive Features and Performance"

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G has been officially launched in India as a successor to the Nord 2T, offering significant upgrades compared to its predecessor. The new flagship device features MediaTek's flagship-series System-on-a-Chip (SoC) and a primary camera sensor from the OnePlus 11. It retains the SuperVOOC charging capability, a large battery, and a 120Hz display. However, these improvements come with an increased cost compared to the previous model.

Considering the offered features, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G aims to provide excellent value for money. To provide a comprehensive assessment, we present a detailed review of the device.

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G is available in two storage options in India. The base model offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, priced at Rs. 33,999. The variant reviewed here comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at Rs. 37,999.

In terms of design and display, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G resembles a premium version of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, launched earlier this year. The phone features slightly curved edges on the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 back panel. The Misty Green color option looks appealing but is prone to fingerprints and smudges due to its glossy finish. The matte-textured Tempest Grey color option is preferred by some users. Both color variants come with an IP54 rating for basic water and dust resistance, a feature absent in the previous model. The OnePlus Nord 3 5G has a flat plastic frame with a matte finish. The right side includes the Alert slider and power button, while the volume rocker is located on the left side. The bottom edge houses a USB Type-C port, primary speaker grille, microphone, and a dual-SIM slot. The top of the phone features an IR emitter for controlling home appliances.

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G offers a comfortable grip and avoids sharp edges, providing a pleasant experience during gaming or extended phone usage. It weighs 193.5g and measures 8.15mm in thickness. The front of the phone boasts a tall 6.74-inch 'Super Fluid' AMOLED display. Unlike some other devices in its price range, such as the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G and Motorola Edge 40, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G features a flat display without curved edges. The bezels, including the chin, are relatively thin, offering a larger screen and an immersive viewing experience.

The 10-bit AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (2772x1240 pixels) on the OnePlus Nord 3 5G delivers crisp content. The display produces vivid colors, and with HDR10+ support on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, it provides deep blacks. The dual speakers with Dolby Atmos enhancement offer rich sound and ample volume. The display features a touch sampling rate of up to 1,000Hz and a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and animations. The device also features an in-display fingerprint scanner for quick authentication, although its placement may be slightly low. An alternative authentication option is AI-based face recognition, which is convenient but less secure.

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G is powered by the flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, manufactured using a 4nm process. The SoC includes a Mali G-710 GPU and is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device lacks a microSD card slot and a headphone jack. It supports eight 5G bands, Bluetooth 5.3
